On which week is scheduled cesarean section?

On which week is scheduled cesarean section? It's understandable that everyone does it differently, but generally speaking, in what month? My gynecologist said that on the 38th week she will give me a referral. I disagree, I think it's too early. I would like to reach at least the due date of the pregnancy.
