They put me on an IV and kept checking my condition because it’s quite strong, but for me my temperature just rose and I felt sleepy — I tried to sleep during the drip. Other than that, there were no other side effects.

Well, of course, don't you dare go home! I only signed a refusal form once I realized I felt fine and they'd stopped giving me IVs and shots. And if they're giving them to you, you should sit and think it's for your baby — even if you have to be on them your whole pregnancy, you'll still give birth to a healthy, on-time baby.

I was on bed rest four times. On one of those occasions they gave me IV drips twice a day. One of them was every day for two weeks, seven hours straight. I still have scars from the catheters. I had never been in a hospital before; it was my first time. But to save my child I'm ready for anything. I think it's a huge incentive not to panic.

Карина, They're most likely giving you magnesium sulfate if your temperature rises. I had a threat of preterm labor and they gave me Ginepral. It caused a terrible tremor in my hands and all over my body. They also gave me magnesium sulfate, but I got used to it. I lay down all the time, only getting up to go to the toilet. Catheters became part of me.

Армине, Most likely magnesium sulfate; after it you can go home — lie down for 10 minutes, eat, they’ll check your blood pressure and let you go.

Карина, It's better, of course, to listen to the doctors — endure a bit for the baby, the main thing is that it's nothing serious. In our case they quickly put us on a drip and sent us home, and whether you collapse on the way or not nobody cares anymore.
