Good afternoon, ladies! Who has had a child with pneumonia? My child, who is 2 years old and 2 weeks, was diagnosed with signs of perihilar pneumonia, and we were prescribed Amoxiclav syrup. All the symptoms have gone away - fever, runny nose, cough, and the appetite has returned! However, a follow-up X-ray showed no changes; it was the same as the first one. Currently, my child has harsh breathing, and they prescribed 10 injections of ceftriaxone and inhalation therapy. We went to another pediatrician who said that the injections were not necessary since the blood test showed no inflammation; the blood analysis was clean! She also mentioned that the harsh breathing would pass, as it can persist for some time even after taking antibiotics. Has anyone had a similar experience? Please share.

We were prescribed the antibiotic Zitmak for 5 days, Berodual inhalations three times a day for 5 days, definitely prebiotics, and basic nasal irrigation and vitamin C. We saw improvement in the blood tests on the third day, and her condition improved the day after the first dose of the antibiotic. My daughter had left-sided focal pneumonia. The harsh breathing will pass, the body is recovering from pneumonia, it takes time, frequent walks, inhalations, in general, recovery also requires investment! Everything will be fine, the main thing is to complete the treatment.

Satomi , Since the illness began, we have taken a blood test twice, with no inflammation present either on the first or the second test, and everything cleared up after the first antibiotic, except for the harsh breathing. I just didn't want to administer injections after that first antibiotic! Since the blood test is clear 🤷🏻‍♀️, is it just because of the harsh breathing and the residual cough? Giving 10 injections seems wrong, I think 800 ml of ceftriaxone per day would probably make the child very lethargic 🤷🏻‍♀️. This is my first child, I don't know, I've never had this illness myself.

Гуми , It is definitely necessary to go outside; the child needs fresh air, not the stale, dusty air of the apartment. At least for 15-30 minutes, yesterday the weather was good, almost no wind. The recovery took about a month.

Satomi , Yesterday we developed a cough, mucus in the throat, kept sneezing, and today we have a runny nose; we are sick with a respiratory infection 😩. Now it's unclear whether it's inflammation or a respiratory infection 🤷🏻‍♀️. It's already been 3 weeks, and I don't know how to handle it anymore! But there's no fever.
