Good evening everyone!!! I would like to hear from your experiences, maybe someone has encountered this. We've been sick with acute respiratory viral infection and bronchitis for about 5 days now. But the thing is, the runny nose was still severe, the doctor said to use Nasivin and Aquamaris shower spray, and to perform aspirations. We've washed out the mucus and there's not much left, but you can still hear the congestion and the mucus is thick, the aspirator can't even remove it. We're still taking an antibiotic for 2 more days. We have a follow-up appointment after that. How can I help my child?

To recover faster and get rid of a stuffy nose? You can try using nasal decongestants such as drops or sprays. Also, it's beneficial to ventilate the room, humidify the air, and perform light massages of the nose and chest. It's important to ensure that the child drinks enough fluids and rests. Don't forget to follow the doctor's recommendations and seek consultation if necessary. I wish your child a speedy recovery!

Good evening, you should see an ENT doctor; we had a similar issue, very severe runny nose. The child couldn't breathe and we had the "cuckoo" treatment done. We were about 2 years old then. Of course, there was a lot of crying, but afterwards, all the drops prescribed by the doctor went where they were supposed to, and we recovered quickly. :)

Swelling - reduce with vasoconstrictors. Thin out mucus with saline solutions. Afterwards - suction.

The phrase "Диринажный массаж, макрота значит" in English translates to "Drainage massage, macrota means." However, the word "macrota" does not have a clear meaning in English or Russian in this context. It might be a typo, a specific term in a specialized field, or possibly a non-standard or slang expression. More context would be needed to provide a precise translation.

анонимный, I'm also referring to this because it's already the second day I've been doing nasal aspirations and there's no mucus at all anymore, but the nose still seems to be wheezing.
