To whom at what time was dexamethasone administered for lung fetal development and under what diagnosis? Put in the hospital, they said so it's necessary ? no explanations were obtained.

I was given injections at 36 weeks. This is to make sure the baby's lungs will be okay in case of premature birth.

Isn't it too early at 30 weeks?

Usilek, Diagnosis: IUGR (intrauterine growth restriction) grade 1. I don't really understand it either. But I was born at 29 weeks myself; they say it can genetically cause preterm birth.

I can't stand doctors like that. How is it possible not to get any explanations?! You should be told what the doctors are giving you! After my last hospital visit (they admitted me to the infectious disease ward during my first trimester) because of HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE! They insisted I had an acute respiratory viral infection (ARVI), even though I felt great, no signs of illness. They stuffed me with pills, they even wanted to give me an antibiotic injection. I usually never argued with doctors before. I thought that if they're doctors, they're smarter and you should always listen to them. But as it turned out, that's not the case. For every medication I asked for explanations; they answered that that's just what needed to be done. When I refused to take it, they began to scare me, saying the baby would be born unhealthy or that I would have a miscarriage. In short, I couldn't take it. I made a scene and signed a refusal of hospitalization. I'm saying all this to point out that doctors can't always be fully trusted either. Better to ask the same thing 200 times, but be sure the prescription is correct. It's their job — they are obliged to explain.

I was given injections at 34 weeks because of thick blood. But I'm already 39 weeks and 5 days and I'm still walking around ?

At 29 weeks I had a cervical issue — a risk of premature birth. They said it would be a miracle if I carried to 36 weeks; prepare to give birth earlier. Today my girl is 37 weeks and, knock on wood, everything is fine.

They gave me the exact same diagnosis, gave me four shots and sent me home, and said the same thing — that I'll deliver early. So far, knock on wood. I hope I can make it to 37 weeks.
