Hello everyone. Is this normal? My child doesn't nap during the day at home, although she used to easily go 12 hours without a nap before starting daycare. Now at daycare, she sleeps for 2.5 hours, goes to bed at midnight, and wakes up at 7:30 AM. This schedule is quite hard for us to maintain. During holidays, we didn't wake her up at all. She would wake up between 10 and 11 AM. And today, instead of taking a nap, she fell asleep for the night around 7 PM while we were driving. I thought she would wake up when we got home, but she didn't. She slept soundly. She was probably awake for about 8 hours. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm a bit worried. Yesterday, there was no nap at all, and she was awake for 12 hours.

We have a child at home who doesn't sleep but wakes up at 7-8 am and goes to bed at half-past eight to nine. In the kindergarten, he sleeps and also goes to bed at night. I think you need to work out a schedule and thoroughly tire the child out.

My son also started to refuse his daytime nap, but then he falls asleep at 8 in the evening or at 7:30, and then he might wake up during the night and not sleep. This has happened several times.

Гуля , Therefore, we put him to bed early so that he would sleep for about 2 hours.

Yes, that sometimes happens. Children can change their sleep patterns depending on various factors, such as stress, changes in schedule, or simply their sleep phases. If your child slept for 8 hours after falling asleep at 7 PM, perhaps they just accumulated some sleep and needed extra rest. Try monitoring their sleep in the coming days and see how the situation develops. If you continue to be concerned, consult a doctor for advice.
