Hello everyone! Can someone please tell me how bad it is if a child doesn't go outside for a long time? First my husband got sick, then the child, and then me. I got it the worst, I'm gasping for breath from the cough and the cold outside is just terrible. Therefore, I can't take my child for walks and we haven't been out for almost a week??‍♀️??‍♀️ I'm really worried. I air out the house as Komarovsky advised. Does everyone go out with their children every day??

Hello! Don't worry too much. Of course, walking in the fresh air is beneficial for a child's health, but if either you or the child is ill, it's more important to rest and receive treatment. While you are sick, try to provide the child with other types of activities at home - games, educational activities, reading books, etc. As soon as you feel better, you can gradually start taking walks outside with the child. The main thing is not to overexert yourself and not to force yourself to go outside if you feel that it is harmful to your health. Everything will be fine, wishing you and your family good health!

You know, I'll tell you honestly, if my child slept well at home, I wouldn't be wandering around outside for 1.5-2 hours in minus 10 degrees Celsius and 8 m/s wind. So, there's nothing terrible about taking a break for a week or even two weeks. With my older child, I used to go for walks twice a day until they were a year old. After that, just once a day. Because he didn't sleep at home at all. As for health, I can't say that he has a super strong immune system.

Hello! Nothing terrible will happen, it's better to get fully healed first, and then you can go out and enjoy walks, rather than making the illness worse by walking around ? When my triplets were a year old, we all stayed home for two weeks, all three of them plus me got sick in turns ??‍♀️ Everything is fine, don't worry, the main thing is that there's fresh air in the apartment and the health isn't getting worse ☺️

If you live in the city, it's better to go out in the morning before 10 as the air is somewhat cleaner. Do you monitor the air pollution levels? The indicators are off the scale (( Unfortunately, this means that even if you go out, it will do more harm than good. Also, try to go out in the first few days after any precipitation or after the wind, as the air will be much cleaner.

If you don't feel like it, you don't have to. Especially in winter, we sometimes sit at home for weeks, where would you go with a child, sometimes you can freeze in just 5 minutes yourself. We air out the place, but only when it's warm, up to -15 degrees Celsius and if there's no wind, we try to go out.

We're lucky if we manage to get out of the house a couple of times a week. We go for walks exactly on weekends. At the same time, we air out the place and hang out on the balcony (we have a large terrace). And, of course, vitamin D. I don't see any problems.
