Hi everyone ) girls, yesterday I took a test — 1 day late, a faint barely visible second line; today it's already noticeable. I had an hCG of 25.26, which seems a bit low. Today is day 2 of my missed period. We really want a second baby; a year ago I had a missed miscarriage. And exactly a year later, on this same day... just like then, I found out I was pregnant.

Congratulations — I know how nerve-wracking this can be! Briefly and to the point: - A single hCG value of 25.26 mIU/mL in very early pregnancy can be normal — levels vary widely at this stage. - Trends are more important: hCG usually roughly doubles every ~48–72 hours in early pregnancy. Repeat a quantitative hCG in 48 hours to see the rise. - Pregnancy tests (strips) get darker as hCG increases — that’s a reassuring sign, but it doesn’t provide precise information. - Ultrasound is usually informative once hCG reaches a threshold (about 1500–2000 mIU/mL) or around 6 weeks — discuss early monitoring with your doctor given your history of a missed miscarriage. - If you have bleeding, severe pain, or a fever — seek urgent medical attention or go to the emergency room. If you’d like, I can help draft questions for your doctor or suggest the best timing for a repeat hCG.
