Girls, I'm already 5 months ? We're waiting for the little one, they said it's a girl ? We're already looking at cribs and things, but the parents keep saying we need to buy something closer to the last month, honestly speaking, my husband and I aren't superstitious at all, if we're expecting this baby, why can't we buy something because someone is afraid that something might happen?! What do you think? Who has already bought everything for the child at this stage? Interesting, are there more or less of them?)

I'm at the same stage as you) and I'm gradually buying everything now while I still have the energy to go to stores, search, run to the post office, pick things up) we still don't know the baby's sex, so I'm choosing neutral colors. I'm already starting to buy what's needed for the maternity hospital. I'll feel calmer when everything is already laid out and ready

Аня , I think I'll feel more at ease — I'll pick everything I want and need myself. If I ask my husband to go by himself he'll buy the wrong things instead of diapers for the newborn, just like with the pads ?

I don't see anything wrong with buying things in advance; to me the baby should know they're expected in the family. While the mom can still walk and choose for herself, knowing the baby's sex, why not. I'll also be buying things soon — a crib, a stroller. We live in the 21st century and everything is available now; you don't need to worry about shortages like before, the main thing is to have the money))) And shopping together with dad always brings positivity and closeness, and positive emotions for the mom affect the baby wonderfully, bringing joy ❤ Wishing everyone common sense and health ?

These were old superstitions ?‍♀️ If new things lay unused it meant a "empty house" and that evil spirits might settle in them and could interfere with childbirth ?‍♀️ If the crib was assembled and just stood unused, then it was all an empty place without energy ?‍♀️ Back then there was no ultrasound and they didn't know who it would be, they relied on the belly, so they bought everything after the birth; otherwise you'd buy dresses and then ta-da—it's a boy ? To me this all comes from a narrow, domestic mindset. - When you choose clothes your maternal and paternal instincts already kick in — smiles, joy that you're eagerly waiting for your baby and the anticipation that soon you'll dress them in new outfits. - Bought a crib — put a doll in it so the place isn't empty. - The stroller should also be chosen by the mom since she'll be the one using it to walk and stroll. - A dresser or wardrobe is also needed; you can buy and install it in advance. - Bedding is necessary; a pillow — not until they're one year old. - Cosmetics and hygiene products for the baby also shouldn't be stockpiled since they might not suit them. A baby tub, bath thermometer, towels — all the necessary things. And then I ran into moms, friends, relatives who all want to push their used baby items on me: "We only dressed these like four times ?‍♀️ This is our stroller, the crib is almost new, why buy one?!" I'm against using other people's worn clothes... And I try to make clear that I'll buy everything myself; if you want to help, it's better to give to someone in need. But they look at me like I'm some rich snob who's disgusted by their things, not understanding what expenses I'll have buying for the baby and how fast they grow ?‍♀️?

Евгения , What do they care what your child will wear? Really, let them give it to those who need it, and a mother always knows better what will be best for her and her child. If some families don't have the means to buy new things, then of course these items will be a godsend. And if a family is planning children and is expecting, I think they clearly understood it wouldn't be free. I also think things are better new, but if there are families who can't afford them, friends should help them.

I started buying things as soon as I left the ultrasound at 20 weeks. As of today everything's already bought except the stroller (can't decide), and I've probably bought things up to 3 years ?

Забейте на все советы и делайте как вам удобно. Со всеми детьми я покупать начинала как только узнавала пол ребенка.

С собственного опыта говорю, покупайте всё заранее, вплоть до влажных салфеток и стиральных детских порошков, первые недели Вы с ребёнком никуда выходить не сможете, а объяснить мужу что вам нужно купить бывает сложно

Я в это тоже не верю. Мыслями всё бы скупила, когда была на вашем сроке, но руки дошли только после 30 недели, коляску купили, немного по мелочи, теперь нужно собрать сумки в роддом, потом кроватка, постелька)

Оленка❤️ , в мене свекруха була дуже проти щоб щось купляти, бо каже ти шооо наперед, як не треба пепед самими родами, чи потом як родиш, перший раз сильно посварилась з нею, ну блін, всмислі потом, я для свої дитини сама все хочу вибирати, а не щоб мені принесла потом фігню якусь те що мені зовсім не подобається! я спочатку втіхаря теж купляла, а потом як сказала шо купила то вона каже, да да, купляй раніше бо все одразу дуже накладно буде купувати! ????

Я тоже начала в 20 недель выбирать все для малыша, только смотрела унисекс, когда сказали что девочка, выбирала все для девчушки. Мне тоже все говорили куда!? Кааак?! типа очень рано и наперед, ФИГНЯ ЭТО ВСЬО!!! ты носиш под сердцем свою малютку, и ты как никто знаеш что и когда ей нужно! я со всеми переругалась но выбрала и купила то что хотела, и теперь спокойна что в спешке не нужно будет кудато бежать и покупать. ??

Анна , Полностью согласна, я вот тоже уже самое важное заказала и купила)) а так уже по мелочи осталось, себе в роддом и малышке, дома самое первое что нужно, есть) и мне на много спокойнее ?
