Hello everyone! I'm 38 weeks plus along. I've been experiencing some pain in my waist and abdomen. I packed my things and went to the hospital. The doctor said my labor is just beginning but they have to wait until my water breaks before they can do anything. And I've been in pain that comes and goes. Has anyone else experienced this before and should I be worried?

It is as your doctor said. Its the start of labour. You should look out for ur mucus plug i.e a discharge that is a mixture of mucus and a little blood. U should try to do exercises. And change positions when the pains come. E.g if it comes while u are sitting, you should lie down. Main thing is to take things easy. And make sure you look out for signs like the mucus plug and water breaking. I am at 36+ weeks and i av started having symptoms too. Wish us all luck and safe delivery.
