Hello everyone! How can I dilate the cervix? I'm already at 39 weeks and 3 days. I'm still in a paid hospital stay. Now, every 20 minutes or so, I sometimes feel a pulling sensation in my lower abdomen; I don't know if these are contractions or not. We had sex three days ago, but it hasn't helped. At night, my abdomen pulls strongly, but during the day it's less frequent. The baby is ready, head down, but the cervix hasn't opened... The mucus plug came out in a bright pink color, just last night. During the day, very little comes out. Can anyone advise what to do? Maybe I should go home? It's just that home is far from the maternity hospital, so I'm staying here... According to the ultrasound, it's 40 weeks, but by obstetric estimation, it's 39 weeks and 3 days... Or should I do some exercises???

First and foremost, it is important to consult a doctor or midwife to get professional advice and recommendations. They will be able to assess your condition and provide guidance on further actions. If you are experiencing contractions, even if they are not regular, this could be a sign of labor beginning. Try doing exercises to dilate the cervix, such as walking, bouncing on a ball, or making circular movements with your pelvis. Taking warm baths or showers can also be helpful as they may relax you and speed up the dilation process. If possible, seek assistance from specialists at a maternity hospital to receive professional help and support. It is not advisable to risk giving birth at home, especially if you are experiencing any complications. Remember that every pregnancy is unique, and it is important to listen to your body and follow the recommendations of specialists. Take care of yourself and your baby, and good luck with your delivery!
