My mother gave birth at 54 without complications. She never had any difficulties with me growing up, I was a healthy child. A couple of weeks ago I found out that I'm pregnant. It's unexpected: I'm as old as she is. Can I also expect that childbirth will be smooth?

По мнению многих врачей наиболее оптимальный период для рождения малыша – от двадцати до тридцати лет. Однако не нужно сразу беспокоиться, если ваш возраст не вписывается в эти рамки. В действительности не существует такого понятия как идеальный возраст для родов детей. Проблемы могут развиваться среди юных и в зрелых годах рожениц практически в идентичной степени. Все обуславливается индивидуальными особенностями организма. Чтобы женщина легко родила в 54, важно, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных предписаний и здорового образа жизни во время вынашивания ребенка, безотлагательно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родоразрешении не опасаться и довериться специалисту.
