At 20 weeks the main thing most often is the scheduled second-trimester ultrasound: they check the baby's anatomy, the placenta, the amniotic fluid, the cervix, and whether the measurements match the gestational age. Movements may already be noticeable, but for many—especially in a first pregnancy or with an anterior placenta—they are still irregular. It's better to watch how you feel rather than your weight every day: blood pressure, swelling, pain. If bleeding appears, fluid leakage, severe abdominal pain, a temperature above 38, or a sudden worsening — it's best to go straight to the emergency department or call 103/112.
