My mother gave birth at 55 without complications. She never had any difficulties with me growing up, I was a healthy child. A couple of weeks ago I found out that I'm pregnant. It's unexpected: I'm as old as she is. Can I also expect that childbirth will be smooth?

По мнению многих врачей наиболее лучший период для рождения малыша – 20-30 лет. Однако не желательно предварительно бить тревогу, если ваш возраст не вписывается в эти рамки. На самом деле не существует такого понятия как идеальный возраст для родов детей. Трудности могут развиваться среди юных и зрелых рожениц почти в равной степени. Все связано с индивидуальными характеристиками организма. Чтобы женщина удачно родила в 55, нужно, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных советов и здорового образа жизни во время вынашивания ребенка, безотлагательно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родоразрешении не бояться и довериться специалисту.
