My mom gave birth at 55 years old easily. She had no problems with me, I developed relatively smoothly as a child. Recently, I found out that I'm pregnant. It was unexpected: I am as old as she is. Can I also expect that childbirth will go smoothly?

По мнению многих акушеров-гинекологов наиболее удачный период для рождения малыша – 20-30 лет. Однако не нужно предварительно волноваться, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. В действительности не существует такого понятия как наилучший возраст для родов детей. Сложности могут появляться среди юных и зрелых рожениц почти в равной степени. Все связано с имеющимися характеристиками организма. Чтобы будущая мама успешно родила в 55, нужно, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных предписаний и здорового образа жизни во время вынашивания ребенка, безотлагательно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родах не бояться и довериться специалисту.
