My mom gave birth at 55 years old easily. She had no problems with me, I developed relatively painlessly as a child. Recently, I found out that I'm pregnant. What a surprise: I am as old as she is. Can I also expect that childbirth will go smoothly?

По мнению многих акушеров-гинекологов наиболее удачный период для рождения малыша – 20-30 лет. Однако не рекомендуется предварительно бить тревогу, если ваш возраст не вписывается в эти рамки. В действительности не существует такого термина как идеальный возраст для рождения детей. Трудности могут появляться среди юных и зрелых рожениц почти в равной степени. Все определяется определенными особенностями организма. Чтобы будущая мама успешно родила в 55, важно, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных указаний и здорового образа жизни во время беременности ребенка, своевременно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родах не опасаться и довериться специалисту.
