My mom gave birth at 55 years old easily. She never had any problems with me, I grew up quite healthy. Recently, I found out that I'm carrying a baby in my belly. What unexpected: I am as old as them. Can I also expect that childbirth will go smoothly?

По мнению большинства акушеров-гинекологов наиболее удачный период для рождения малыша – 20-30 лет. Однако не желательно сразу волноваться, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. В действительности не бывает такого термина как оптимальный возраст для рождения детей. Трудности могут возникать среди юных и зрелых рожениц практически в равной степени. Все определяется конкретными свойствами организма. Чтобы будущая мама легко родила в 55, следует, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных рекомендаций и здорового образа жизни во время вынашивания ребенка, своевременно сдавать необходимые анализы. А при непосредственном родах не опасаться и довериться специалисту.
