My mother gave birth at 56 years old easily. She had no problems with me, I grew up a healthy child. A couple of weeks ago I found out that I was pregnant. What's unexpected is that I am as old as she is. Can I also expect that childbirth will go smoothly?

По мнению многих акушеров-гинекологов наиболее удачный период для появления малыша – 20-30 лет. Однако не желательно сразу переживать, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. На самом деле не бывает такого термина как оптимальный возраст для родов детей. Сложности могут появляться среди юных и зрелых рожениц практически в одинаковой степени. Все определяется определенными свойствами организма. Чтобы будущая мама беспроблемно родила в 56, нужно, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных предписаний и правильного распорядка дня во время вынашивания ребенка, своевременно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родах не паниковать и довериться медицинскому персоналу.
