My mother gave birth at 56 without complications. She never had any difficulties with me growing up, I was a healthy child. A couple of weeks ago I found out that I'm pregnant. It's unexpected: I'm as old as she is. Can I also expect that childbirth will be smooth?

По мнению большинства специалистов наиболее удачный период для появления ребенка – 20-30 лет. Однако не нужно сразу беспокоиться, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. На самом деле не существует такого термина как оптимальный возраст для рождения детей. Трудности могут развиваться среди юных и зрелых рожениц почти в равной степени. Все определяется индивидуальными особенностями организма. Чтобы будущая мама беспроблемно родила в 56, нужно, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных советов и правильного распорядка дня во время вынашивания ребенка, своевременно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родах не бояться и довериться медицинскому персоналу.
