I have a persistent cough since summer, it cleared up after I got sick, but the cough is like residual, I thought it would go away, but I keep coughing and it doesn't seem to be going away, it's not a typical cold cough because it hasn't gotten worse, could it be allergies? I don't know, sometimes I just cough, I drink water, it feels scratchy in my throat and I start coughing, has anyone experienced this? What could cause such a cough besides allergies? I've never had allergies before. Sometimes I cough from dryness in my mouth. Today I went to see a doctor, I took some tests.
