At 12 weeks you can't find out the baby's sex by how you feel, the shape of your belly, morning sickness, or folk signs — none of that works. Sometimes on an ultrasound at 12–13 weeks a doctor can make a guess, but mistakes at that stage are common. It's usually more reliable on the second screening at 18–20 weeks, and an NIPT can show the sex already from about 10 weeks if you want it and it's available.
