Ladies 🆘 my son is 2 years and 6 months old. During the day, while washing him, I noticed white discharge from his penis, and his temperature rose to 39°C (102°F). Currently, we are in the USA, and we couldn't see our regular doctor, so we sought help at a hospital... There, they first inserted a tube into his urinary tract to collect a urine sample, and then, without any pain relief, this "guy" (I can't even call him a doctor) just started forcefully pulling back his foreskin... I fainted... My husband held our little boy as best as he could, just hoping they would clean everything and finish... Eventually, they applied iodine to the area, gave him an antibiotic injection, and sent us home, prescribing antibiotics for 9 days and instructions to open, wash, and apply some ointment to the area twice a day. We are extremely worried. Why didn't they provide any pain relief for this procedure, and was it really necessary to forcefully pull back and "dig around" like that? Since then, my son hasn't urinated, and it's been about 5-6 hours. Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Is everything hopefully still functioning properly there? And how might this affect his health in the future... Or am I overreacting, and the main thing is that they cleaned everything in time and all will be well? Knowing our medical care back in Belarus, they would have approached this issue gently and carefully, not so "cruelly." I feel my son will be traumatized for life, and he won't be able to calmly visit doctors anymore.
