Hello. I have been taking Dufaston almost from the beginning of my pregnancy according to the doctors' instructions. At 18 weeks, I underwent laparoscopic surgery to remove a cyst and ovary, now at 22 weeks, Dufaston is being gradually discontinued. Is this normal? I thought I was taking it for miscarriage risk ??‍♀️

Good afternoon! I was prescribed Duphaston at one time because of an ovarian cyst before pregnancy, so that's most likely why it was prescribed to you.

I had an ovarian rupture and low progesterone; I couldn't get pregnant for half a year, they prescribed Duphaston, and I got pregnant right away. I took it until about week 18, I think. After a while the progesterone dropped again, but then they prescribed suppositories. It's the progesterone dropping that causes the threat of miscarriage ??‍♀️ In your case there was improvement, so they stopped it. If something goes wrong again, they'll prescribe whatever is needed.

Ирина, they don't test it separately ? they just do a complete blood count, and from that they see how much of each thing you have and how things are ?
