On the 23rd, the child develope...

Girls, good evening! SOS situation ??? On the 23rd, the child developed a fever, which lasted until the evening, reaching a high of 39.5°C. On Sunday and Monday (yesterday), there was no fever, but this morning he woke up with the same rash on his stomach, neck, and head, and it was very itchy. We called an ambulance, and he was taken to the infectious diseases hospital, where they diagnosed him with Coxsackie virus and prescribed treatment. This morning, the rash on his stomach began to fade, but by evening it had spread to his back. What does this mess look like? Has anyone encountered this?

Good evening! Coxsackievirus infection, caused by the Coxsackie virus, usually manifests with high fever, a rash on the body, and severe itching. This is a viral disease that is often found in children. Treatment is usually aimed at relieving symptoms such as fever, itching, and pain. It is important to follow the doctor's recommendations and provide your child with comfortable conditions for recovery. I hope your little one gets well soon!

Hello. You know, we had Coxsackie virus, but the rash was larger and only on the legs and arms. It was very itchy. Here, it's some sort of small rash. Generally, by the symptoms, it's very similar to roseola, but typically, younger children get roseola, and the rash isn't itchy.

Кристина , Based on the description, it really is roseola, since the rash appeared on the third day after the fever.

Алина , If you haven't been sick, then most likely it's nothing serious; the rash will go away on its own in a couple of days.

This is not Coxsackie, it is likely an enterovirus similar to Coxsackie, but with Coxsackie, the hands, palms, feet, and mouth are affected. Treatment is usually symptomatic, with ongoing monitoring by a doctor.
