Hello, girls. We are 4 months and 1 week old, and have been without a pacifier since birth. Is it still possible to get used to one, or is it too late??? Has anyone else tried to start using a pacifier at 4 months??

Hello! Yes, of course, you can try to get a 4-month-old accustomed to a pacifier. It's important to remember that each child is unique, and what works for one child may not work for another. Try offering the pacifier to the child in various situations, such as when they are falling asleep or when they are feeling fussy. Gradually, they may get used to it. Remember, it's important to watch the child's reaction and to be patient. Good luck!

Our youngest looks for a pacifier when he wants to sleep, is bored in the car, is hungry, in general, when he's fussy. Try giving it to him during these moments. But why do you want to start using it if you've already gone so long without?

Анастасия, Sleeps poorly during the day. And at night, he gets up almost every hour to eat for 2 minutes. I get tired and don't get enough sleep.

Ирина, Yes, ours also wakes up at night if the pacifier falls out ?. Try giving the pacifier at the moment of falling asleep, especially when their eyes are just starting to close. And you need to be persistent about it. We gave one to our older child, he spat it out a couple of times and we didn't insist. Maybe if we had insisted, he would have gotten used to it. On the other hand, it's not a big deal that he grew up without one. Although now the younger one falls asleep on his own, without rocking, already from 6 months old, independently, with a pacifier. And we had to rock the older one in our arms until he was 3 years old ??‍♀️ Poor my back.

Анастасия, Oh, I understand you. All my older ones grew up without a pacifier, but they slept better.

We've had a tense relationship with the pacifier since birth ? Sometimes she's crazy about it, other times she spits it out. Right now, it's a period of love for the pacifier; I'm not doing anything special, just offering it ?‍♀️
