Girls, hello everyone) I have a rather personal question ? I'm at 34-35 weeks, and at 32-33 weeks my cervical length was 33.5 cm. I was prescribed progesterone (I've completed the course) and, of course, was advised complete sexual rest! My husband and I usually have sex once a month or once every month and a half, but now my hormones are going wild and I really crave some "affection" ? but I'm afraid it might harm the pregnancy... I don't want to give birth too early because of this... What are your thoughts, maybe someone has experienced this and can share their story ♥️ Please, no judgment ☺️

There's not much left to endure. Endure if you must. I endured almost the entire pregnancy.

Катя Та , The point is that today I came across a couple of articles on a similar issue where some girls have a cervix length of only 27-30mm, and an online consultant (gynecologist) tells them that orgasm does not affect the shortening of the cervix and that they can be cautious, but I don't want to take risks and really go wild with my husband. I just want to vent my emotions ?. So the question arises why some say it's okay even with a cervix that is significantly shorter, while others categorically forbid it with even minimal shortening.

Марія , You know, we had a girl in the maternity hospital who was also told by doctors that she couldn't have sex, but she went home to take a shower and ended up having sex with her husband at home. About an hour later, something terrible happened: she lost her baby. You can never really know if it will have an effect or not. And all gynecologists say different things. Consult with your test results and ultrasound with another gynecologist and then decide whether it's okay or not. Then you won't have to worry. Getting several opinions is always better. The doctor who is monitoring you will always be extra cautious and say that it's not allowed, but the opinion of another independent specialist will help you.

Good afternoon! I understand your situation and concerns. It's important to remember that during pregnancy, it's crucial to listen to your body and follow your doctor's recommendations. If you have had issues with your cervix and have been prescribed progesterone, it's better to refrain from sexual intimacy until the end of the pregnancy. Instead, you can find other ways to be close to your partner, such as hugging, caressing, massage, etc. The main thing is that both you and your husband feel comfortable and safe. In any case, it's best to consult with your doctor to clarify whether you can engage in sexual activity in your specific situation. Take care of yourself and your baby! ♥️
