Hello girls. I have a question. Last month I had a miscarriage, I started bleeding which lasted about 12 days and then stopped for about two days. And then it all started again from the beginning, the same heavy bleeding with clots, as if something was still left inside. I went for an ultrasound and was told that yes, the egg is still there and slowly coming out. So, I was thinking that it might have been twins. Has anyone had a twin miscarriage or knows something about this? Does this happen?

Hello! Yes, a double miscarriage can occur, but it is quite rare. In most cases, when a miscarriage happens, both fetuses are expelled simultaneously. However, sometimes one fetus may be expelled earlier, while the other remains in the womb, which can lead to prolonged bleeding and clots. In any case, it is important to consult a doctor for further observation and treatment. I hope everything will be fine with you and that you will recover soon. Good luck!

"No, that never happens. Even if it's twins, one cannot 'come out' while the other stays. What you had was an incomplete miscarriage, in which case a dilation and curettage might be necessary. The doctor will monitor the situation."
