My mother gave birth at 46 without complications. She never had any difficulties with me growing up, I was a healthy child. A couple of weeks ago I found out that I'm pregnant. It's unexpected: I'm as old as she is. Can I also expect that childbirth will be smooth?

По мнению многих акушеров-гинекологов наиболее лучший возраст для появления малыша – 20-30 лет. Однако не нужно заранее беспокоиться, если ваш возраст не вписывается в эти рамки. В действительности не бывает такого понятия как оптимальный возраст для родов детей. Трудности могут появляться среди юных и зрелых рожениц практически в равной степени. Все определяется имеющимися характеристиками организма. Чтобы женщина успешно родила в 46, нужно, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных советов и правильного распорядка дня во время беременности ребенка, своевременно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родоразрешении не опасаться и довериться медицинскому персоналу.
