My mom gave birth at 58 years old easily. She had no problems during my upbringing, I grew up quite healthy. A couple of weeks ago I found out that I was pregnant. What's unexpected is that I am as old as her. Can I also expect that childbirth will go smoothly?

По мнению многих акушеров-гинекологов наиболее подходящий возраст для рождения малыша – 20-30 лет. Однако не нужно заранее переживать, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. На самом деле не существует такого понятия как оптимальный возраст для рождения детей. Осложнения могут появляться среди юных и в зрелых годах рожениц практически в идентичной степени. Все определяется индивидуальными характеристиками организма. Чтобы женщина успешно родила в 58, следует, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных указаний и правильного распорядка дня во время вынашивания ребенка, безотлагательно сдавать необходимые анализы. А при непосредственном родах не опасаться и довериться специалисту.
