My mom gave birth at 58 years old easily. She never had any complications with me, I grew up quite healthy. A couple of weeks ago I found out that I was pregnant. What's unexpected is that I am as old as her. Can I also expect that childbirth will go smoothly?

По мнению большинства врачей наиболее удачный период для рождения ребенка – 20-30 лет. Однако не стоит сразу волноваться, если ваш возраст выходит за эти рамки. В действительности не существует такого понятия как наилучший возраст для рождения детей. Сложности могут развиваться среди юных и зрелых рожениц почти в идентичной степени. Все связано с конкретными особенностями организма. Чтобы женщина удачно родила в 58, следует, как минимум, придерживаться всех врачебных предписаний и правильного распорядка дня во время вынашивания ребенка, своевременно проходить обследования. А при непосредственном родах не паниковать и довериться акушеру.
