Who had elevated TSH during pregnancy? My TSH is 4.7, I'm lowering it with euthyrox as prescribed by my doctor, they scare me that if it doesn't drop at least to 2.5, then there will be either miscarriage or the baby will be born with abnormalities... Has anyone experienced this? All kids well?

Don't think about bad things. Everything will be fine. I have Rh-negative blood — they said the children would have Down syndrome. My first child is a beautiful boy, healthy and calm; he loved to eat and sleep when he was little, he's already 3 years old and knows phones better than me. Now I'm expecting a girl, 36 weeks, they said gastromegaly, the doctors are scaring me too but I don't listen to them anymore.

Mine is high. It won't go down. And they didn't even scare me.

My TSH was also elevated; I took Euthyrox. But then I rechecked my TSH and it returned to normal.

If you take Euthyrox the hormone should return to normal, then you won't have to worry. I had a missed miscarriage, they didn't find the cause, but after tests it turned out my TSH was high — maybe that's why the fetus stopped developing. Now I'm taking L-thyroxine throughout the pregnancy and, knock on wood, everything is fine.

At the start of my pregnancy my TSH was 16. I'm now taking levothyroxine, it was lowered to 0.34 — I continue taking 75mg per day. The doctors didn't scare me; on the contrary, they said everything is fine and we'll reduce it. I go to the endocrinologist once a month with my TSH and T4 results.

I also took Euthyrox; my TSH was elevated. Nothing to worry about — you just need to get your hormone levels under control. I took it throughout my pregnancy, periodically having tests done.
