Please tell me who is going to give birth in winter or who plans to give birth during winter, what kind of shawl is needed at the maternity ward! Is it better to take a warm one or can you take a light one? I'm waiting for your advice.

Maternity hospitals are very warm, even hot you could say, so the babies don't get cold) I gave birth in March, it was hot in the ward even in a nightgown, and when we were discharged it felt like home was cold))) Now they're putting the due date in January, I'll pack only the lightest, thinnest things)))

Asseliya, That's what I'm thinking of doing too) Which maternity hospital do you want to be in? I also live in Karaganda.

Actually, take both of them, since you'll have to go out for an ultrasound or for additional tests, and it can be chilly there.

The maternity hospital always maintains the same temperature. The rooms are stuffy; bring something light.

It's going to be heated anyway, so I don't think it needs to be really warm.

You need warm robes for autumn and winter — I was told it’ll be cold after giving birth.

You need to find out specifically about your maternity hospital — whether it's warm or cold. Ours in the Almaty region, for example, is very cold. I'm due in January, so I'll definitely take a warm one. I gave birth to my daughter in September — even then it was pretty cold there; in winter I think the temperature is much lower.

Анастасия, What a pity, I don't even know whether it'll be warm or cold there) I'll probably have to pack both warm and light clothes) and then I'll play it by ear)

I was in just a nightgown in the ward; when I went into the corridor I would put on the little robe that went with the nightgown.

I live in Aktobe; moms here complain that some maternity hospitals are very cold in winter, so either check about your maternity hospital in advance or bring both something warm and something light.

I'm also from Aktobe, mine's on November 5th — I packed a warm robe. Now I'm thinking of adding a light one too!
