Girls, already moms, could you please describe the morning routines that you did for your children from birth and approximately until six months old? ?? Morning potty training and so on.

Марьям , My doctors told me bathing the baby every day is bad — like you’re washing off some kind of layer. That for the first 2–3 weeks you should just wipe the areas where he sweats with a wipe, and bathe him every 2–3 days.

1237 , I bathed him/her every day up to 40 days, alternating chebeda baths with sea salt, then a massage. Doctors now allow nothing, not even treating the umbilical cord after birth. I did this with my three children, but your baby is yours, so you know better what will be best for your child.???

1237 , One day with bur-marigold, another with sea salt, another day just with water, one day with chamomile.

Марьям , That's intense.. a bit over the top, of course, but that's just me.

Эльвира , Like washing, putting on cream there, a little massage, cleaning the nose... that's what I mean — I'm specifically interested in those little rituals ?

Виктория , We didn't use creams; until almost a year I wiped the baby completely with Kyzyl May — it's much better than any cream. I poured Kyzyl May onto a sponge and rubbed it all over the body, especially before putting on a diaper — even the face. I didn't wash the baby that often, about 1–2 times a day, morning and evening. We cleaned the nose with cotton swabs but didn't go deep; I cleaned the ears every day. We also did massages: tummy, legs, and arms.

Эльвира , You shouldn't touch the ears at all ??

Виктория , How can you say that's not allowed? I'm not saying to stick it inside — you can clean the outer part. Specifically, I dipped the ear pick in kyzyl may and wiped the outside of the ear.

Эльвира , And if you do it carefully, you can clean it, but don't go in too deep.

Maybe almost everyone's ritual is the same ? We bathe twice a day. In the morning I usually wash him with baby soap and wash his hair; in the evening I fill the tub and let him float there and just rinse him without products. Ears with cotton swabs, nose with a special aspirator that sucks out boogers. Diaper cream, I also treat the folds with Bepanthen or special talcum powder. I don't accept the slogan "you shouldn't bathe every day" — you definitely need to bathe once a day so the skin doesn't stay damp and irritated. And the medication rituals too: vitamin D3, probiotics. I also give water with a spoon, although almost everyone says: you shouldn't give water until six months; I give two spoonfuls from the first week. We're breastfeeding. First, there's no coating on his tongue, and the baby gets used to drinking water from birth. My older child did the same. I also do hardening — I don't bundle him up; the bath water started at 37–38°C, now 35–36°C and we're lowering it.

My mom also bathed everyone every day, that's a good thing, and the baby will sleep soundly You're not going to be there for 30 minutes. The maximum time for newborns is 5 minutes, no more.
