Girls, if sex was on the 1st of the month, my period is not regular, when will I get pregnant? How long can I do a test?

First, sperm can “hang around” in there for up to 3–5 days, so no one really knows exactly when conception will occur. Second, it's by no means guaranteed, of course, that conception will happen — for example, this month of trying. It's definitely still too early to think about a test ? At the earliest you could try around the 18th–20th, of course if there are any hints of the next period.

1237 , Well, it also depends on when the period was, since that determines ovulation; you can't tell about conception or its likelihood from just one sexual encounter.

Алена , In this case the author explained that her periods are irregular and she doesn't remember when they were, so I didn't write about that, and I wrote that conception isn't guaranteed, since they might not have hit the ovulation days, for example and otherwise, of course, it primarily depends on that)

You'll be able to see it on the test in a week.

You can take a test after a missed period, or at least about three weeks after conception — that’s if you assume intercourse happened at ovulation and you add a week of delay. In a week it will most likely show one line, but that doesn’t mean you’re not pregnant.

If you've only just started planning a baby, conception might not happen that quickly! For some, pregnancy only occurs after a year, for others six months, and for some after just one sexual encounter! Everything is individual. My husband and I only managed to conceive after six months, both with the first and the second pregnancy.
