Good night! How did you break the association of nursing with sleep? I can't wean off the breast; my child doesn't ask for it at all, only when getting ready to sleep. During the day, my child can fall asleep in my arms if rocked, but at night, it's impossible?. I don't want to wean by handing my child over to someone else (like my mother). My child is 1.7 years old.

Good night! Weaning a child from breastfeeding can be a challenging process, but it's important to remember that each child is unique and approaches this process in their own way. Your child is already grown up and might be accustomed to breastfeeding as a way to satisfy hunger, for comfort, or to fall asleep. One method of weaning can be to gradually reduce the feeding time and replace it with other comforting methods, such as rocking, reading a book, or stroking, etc. It is important to be patient and consistent in this process. You can also try to create a new bedtime routine that will replace breastfeeding. For example, bathing, reading a book, rocking, etc. If your child only asks for the breast before sleep, try to put them to sleep in another way, for example, by rocking or stroking. It's important to remember that weaning should be a gradual and caring process. If you encounter difficulties or have questions, seek help from a pediatrician or a breastfeeding consultant. Good luck to you and your little one!

I just didn't give it at night, he would wake up crying, instead of the breast I gave juice, water, tea, and after two nights like that, he forgot about the breast.

камила, Oh, you really shouldn't give anything instead of breast milk. It was barely possible to wean her off, she will definitely wake up and ask for tea/juice/water. It's better to endure it for 2-3 days and then enjoy sleeping without waking up)

In the morning, I applied brilliant green on my chest and then garlic on top. When the child reached for the breast, I said "booboo, mommy's boob is sick, it hurts," and so every time throughout the day. At night, when he woke up, I gave him some water to drink and he fell asleep (the main thing is to feed well during the day), and there were no tears or tantrums from us. He started sleeping better and eating better during the day.

And it's not worth giving to some. The child might experience stress.

Oh, a familiar situation for us, mine absolutely can't fall asleep without breastfeeding. Rocking doesn't help. ?
