Girls, has anyone experienced this? My daughter constantly gets irritation around her mouth. Every time she eats something, it starts to turn red. At first, I thought it was because of a runny nose. She rubs her nose often, and we are always wiping it. The pediatrician also says it's nothing serious, probably because of that. But it's been dragging on. The cold has passed already. Though, she's probably only been without a runny nose for about a week. The ENT prescribed Zyrtec for treatment. We took it for 2 weeks, but the irritation is still there.

Maybe your daughter is allergic to some food? Try eliminating all potentially allergenic foods from her diet and see if the condition of the skin around her mouth changes. Also, pay attention to the cosmetics you use for your daughter's skin care, as they might be causing irritation. If the problem does not go away, consult a dermatologist for advice and appropriate treatment.

Could it be because of sugar? Try cutting out sugar or maybe some other product that is frequently eaten. Our daughter had the same issue with tangerines until she was 12 years old.

It seems I need to see an allergist and have them prescribe tests for parasites.

Hello. I have encountered the same problem. I tried everything - creams, ointments, oils... I took antihistamines. A couple of days ago, with a rather dismissive attitude, I applied Sudocrem at night. By morning, the redness had noticeably decreased. Within a couple of days, the redness disappeared, although it had been troubling me for a month.

Ирина , Yes. I had similar thoughts too. But now it seems there's no irritation. Although there's still some flaking in places.
