Hello everyone, my child is 10 days old since birth, the neonatologist looked at the head bone shapes and said they were underdeveloped due to a lack of calcium in the baby. Now we have been referred to a neurologist. Has anyone experienced this? I need advice.

I am not a medical professional, but I can offer the following advice: 1. Consult a neurologist as soon as possible so that they can conduct all the necessary examinations and prescribe treatment if necessary. 2. Monitor your child's diet to ensure they are getting enough calcium and other important nutrients for bone health. 3. Discuss with your doctor the possible causes of your child's bone underdevelopment and how you might improve their condition. 4. Remember that each case is individual, so it is important to follow the doctor's recommendations and not to make independent treatment decisions. I hope that everything will be well with your child and that the doctors will find the best solution for their health.

Additionally, consult an osteopath. The sooner the better.

It means the bones haven't grown together yet; perhaps one of your two fontanelles hasn't closed yet. See another doctor. We had two fontanelles and a gap in the skull, but over time everything fused together.
