Hello. I wanted to ask about vaccinations. We initially followed the schedule. But at one year old, because of teething, runny nose, cough, we didn't get it done. Now at 1 year and 3 months, we still haven't gotten the vaccination, as every time we plan to, a runny nose starts again, etc. I'm worried about the consequences of not getting it done on time, or if it's not that critical. Could anyone who has faced this issue please advise?

Good day! Missing one vaccination is unlikely to lead to serious consequences, but it is still recommended to consult with a doctor and clarify what would be the best course of action in your specific situation. The doctor may recommend administering the vaccination at a more appropriate time when the child is healthy. There is no need to worry about this; the main thing is to monitor the child's health and seek advice from specialists.

It's better for you to wait it out, and it's also important that your family members don't get sick. Try to limit visits to public places for the first couple of weeks. My son received his fourth DTP booster shot at 2.5 years old and everything went well; I was relieved thinking we had finished with that long ago. We also got the hepatitis A vaccine because Botkin's disease is something to be wary of as well.

The only consequence that was not addressed is the risk of infection. We are also running late for the same reason. But let's go once both are fully healthy.
