Good morning. Can you suggest what this might be? We are at 6 months, and today the baby woke up every 3 hours with intense crying, and nothing could calm him down. We have had 2 teeth come through already; could it be because of them? But the teeth came through before without much fuss. I gave him Nurofen, but I'm not sure it helped, as he continued to wake up and scream.

Hello. We had a similar situation a couple of weeks ago. Just when I looked into his throat, I noticed stomatitis. At that moment, I felt like I got more gray hair, gave him ibuprofen, the child calmed down, and we didn't cry much after that, just kept applying ointment constantly. So, something is bothering him, check his entire body, including his fingers and genitals. Even a strand of hair could get wrapped around somewhere and cause pain; I had a similar issue with my middle son. It could also be a stomach ache, maybe constipation, or an earache. Wishing you strength ??.

Елена , I've already checked him from head to toe, everything is fine, there's nothing wrong. His trips to the bathroom are all excellent. For now, I'm attributing it all to teething.

Елена , Observe for a couple of days, it might indeed be such a reaction to teething.

The teeth are coming in very quickly. The teeth cut through at night, that's why children are restless at night.

Yes, I've talked to many mothers and all their children went through the same thing with teething. They would wake up crying at night. The older one did the same, even though it seemed like his teeth had already come through.

Кристина , Oh, that's intense. I've never even heard such screams during colic.

Ника , Yes, it looks very scary, but the older one was yelling loudly and then fell asleep immediately. I was just shaking for about 2 hours afterward))

I would also soothe her, carry her in my arms, or just nurse her. Sometimes she would refuse, scream, and arch her back. I would give her Nurofen, and then after some time, she would calm down and sleep through until morning. I believe Nurofen is good for 4 months after opening, but from my experience, I can say that after 2-3 months, it doesn't work as well as when it's fresh.

Hello. Have the teeth come through yet or not? We've started experiencing something similar; we've been crying out at night and whining for three days now. How long does this last, and can we give ibuprofen?

Good morning! Yes, it's possible that the reason for the baby's distress could be teething. Some children may experience pain and discomfort during this process, even if previously their teeth came through without any problems. Try to look for other signs of teething pain, such as excessive drooling, chewing on fingers or toys, irritability. If the symptoms persist, it would be best to consult a doctor for advice and recommendations. I hope your little one feels better soon!
