Hello, I have blood type 2-, my husband has 2+, and after my first childbirth, I wasn't given anti-Rh immunoglobulin. Now, doctors say it needs to be administered at 28 weeks, but the medication is unavailable everywhere, and I don't know what to do. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Hello. Can you order from an online pharmacy in the nearest city to you?

Катя Та, The thing is that it's not available anywhere; I've looked in Krasnodar, Sochi, Rostov, Moscow, it's out of stock everywhere.

Светлана, Ask at your pharmacies about placing an order. Look in Novosibirsk. Maybe it can be sent through Kazakhstan. You still have time, don't worry.

In Kazakhstan, I can find out where it is and provide a contact number.

I was given a due date of the 28th, and in the end, the baby was also born with a negative Rh factor. You can get a test done in advance and find out the baby's blood type—I regret finding out too late that this was possible.

Do you know your baby's blood type? If not, get it tested. Look for the vaccine in other countries. It should be available in Russia, just under different names; look for Resonativ or Rezogam, but in general, consult with a gynecologist regarding alternatives.

I was also told that it was up to me to decide whether to put it or not, but in the end, it turned out that it was not available. I have two children with my Rh factor - they were born, and the third one is Rh positive. But everything is fine, we managed without the resonative.

Yes, such situations sometimes occur. You should consult your doctor and ask them to help find the necessary medication. Perhaps the doctor can find it at another clinic or order it especially for you. There's no need to panic; it's important to simply receive the necessary treatment in time to maintain your child's health.
