The child is 2 months old and may not sleep for 5-6 hours, is this normal?

Yes, generally, but it's better not to do it that way. Try to put [the baby] to sleep by any means necessary. Look at the wakefulness schedule for your age and follow that schedule. Otherwise, staying up too late can lead to a wild tantrum in the evening, which is often mistaken for colic. And then there's restless sleep at night. You won't have a set routine right now, but you should walk less. My youngest now goes for a walk for a maximum of 2 hours.

It's normal because at that age they don't know how to fall asleep and it takes quite a bit of effort to do so.

I don't think so, my little son is 4 months old and can barely last 3 hours before he starts fussing and I have to rock him to sleep. He rarely falls asleep on the breast.

At two months old, children usually sleep about 14-16 hours a day, but each child is individual and may have their own sleep patterns. Some children may be more alert and not sleep as much as others. However, if your child does not sleep for 5-6 hours at a stretch and you notice that they are excessively lethargic or irritable, it is advisable to consult a doctor. Your child may have sleep issues or other health problems that require a specialist's attention.
