Hello, has anyone tried to induce labor and did it help you? I am 40 weeks and 4 days pregnant, the baby weighs 3700 grams and I'm a bit worried. Can you share your experiences on what needs to be done to induce labor in advance (pineapple, dates didn't help)?

If there are indications, they will help you in the maternity hospital. If the weight is large, the term, etc.

Hello! I cannot recommend inducing labor without consulting a doctor, as it can be dangerous for both you and your baby. It is important to follow the recommendations of specialists and not to attempt to induce labor on your own. If you have concerns about your baby's weight, discuss this with your doctor. They will be able to conduct all necessary examinations and decide if you need any additional measures for a safe delivery. Remember, every pregnancy is unique, and what helped someone else might be ineffective or even harmful for you. Trust the professionals and follow their recommendations. Good luck to you and your baby!

Maybe cleaning, walking up the stairs might help, it helped me with my first childbirth.

Walking helped me with my first labor; I walked around the city and the shopping mall, and then at night, I went to the maternity hospital.

Sit on the ball and for 30 minutes do the exercise: jump and rotate your hips.

Hello! The baby's weight is good, no extra grams? It's not necessary to hasten the labor process without a doctor's prescription, but if you are really eager, you can try walking with one foot on the curb and the other on the street, walking up and down stairs, and doing a bit of cleaning (if your place is already clean - make a little mess, it's even more fun ?)

Do not rush events. Get enough sleep, rest more. Everything has its time. Only doctors can induce labor; anything else is fraught with bad consequences. Take care of yourself and your child. Once the child arrives, you will dream of sleep and rest. It's hard work! But pleasant!

I was in the hospital room with a girl who was told she was carrying a large baby. But labor started naturally, and the baby turned out to weigh only 3400 grams. So, it's not certain that the predicted weight will match. So, really, rest up for now. You won't get much rest for about the next 3 years after the baby is born ?

None of the advice helped at all. I walked a lot, went to the park and the zoo with my daughter, and to play areas. There was plenty of activity, cleaning at home, and I even did squats (which I honestly do not recommend) and drew camels. I didn't eat pineapples because I'm allergic, but I started eating dates from week 37. I gave birth when the baby was ready, in just 2.5 hours from the first contraction to birth. The doctor simply said that if I didn't give birth by a certain date, they would induce labor, so I just talked to my baby.
