Hello everyone. Girls, how do you clean your babies' noses? What do you use for drops? Our little one's nose is wheezing, it seems like milk has accumulated when she was gagging.

Our ENT doctor prescribed the following: a drop of saline solution in the nose and then suction with an aspirator (he said it's still too early for an electronic one like Otrivin for such a small nose). Well, we were also diagnosed with rhinitis, so we're using Nazivin Baby, one drop in each nostril, and then after a couple of minutes, another rinse to ensure no medication remains in the nose.

Such small children need a doctor's appointment. Call a doctor to your home to have a look, or you can go to the maternity hospital to see a pediatrician. If the child has a cold, then nasal washing and frequent breastfeeding are needed, but again, a doctor should examine everything.

I have been cleaning the visible boogers and still continue to do so using very thin tissues, which come in a package folded in such a way that they pull out one after another. I separate them into single layers and fold the corners into loops. Then, I insert this loop and twist it clockwise. If it doesn't work the first time, I twist it again and continue until I get it out. I've been doing this since the first days; it's very convenient for me. I drop a bit of Aquamaris on it. If the boogers are deep, I would gently use a nasal aspirator, being very careful not to suck too hard. Please read about how to do this properly, and of course, see a doctor if there are symptoms of a cold besides the boogers.
