Calendula decoction rinses are used to treat even purulent tonsillitis. I rinsed my nose and used Pinosol drops; I applied "Root" balm from Siberian Health on the outside of my neck. I did a massage of the nose wings to relieve congestion. I drank teas, berry drinks made from frozen cranberries with honey (I just crushed them well through a sieve and dipped them into a glass of warm water to keep the pulp out). Cranberries are a natural antibiotic. Ginger can be brewed or added to tea as ground dried ginger, just a pinch.

I was sick with a cold during the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters. I gargled with chamomile/furacilin, rinsed my nose, did inhalations with Borjomi, and drank tea with lemon and honey.

Try herbal tea, I was told that cough drops are okay too, when I was also sick in the second trimester, also the illness passes quickly when the air is humid.
