Good evening, I just wanted to share my concerns about children who are not vaccinated with DTP. My son is 3 years old and hasn't been vaccinated with DTP because he has severe allergies. We are afraid, and my husband, who is a medical professional, says it's dangerous. Today, he hit his chin against the bed and it bled, but it wasn't deep. We treated it with an antiseptic, but I am still afraid of tetanus... For those who have older children who are unvaccinated, how do you reassure yourself in such situations?

Good evening! I understand your concern, but it's important to remember that tetanus is a rare disease that can be prevented through vaccination. In the case of an injury, like your son's, it's important to treat the wound with an antiseptic and monitor its condition. If you have any doubts or concerns, it's better to consult with a doctor. To calm yourself in such situations, you can seek advice and recommendations from a specialist. It's also important to maintain hygiene and monitor your child's health to prevent potential complications. There's no need to panic, but it is important to be vigilant and take care of your child's health. Take care of yourself and your little one!

Is the husband really a medic?

Анастасия, Yes, the dentist with higher education said that we went through this, if an allergy to the vaccine starts, then it will be impossible to remove the allergen from the body. Well, he also explained using medical terms.

Zamia, Please forgive me, but that's complete nonsense. Either you are misinformed about your husband, or he is poorly informed. You should at least look up on the internet what an allergic reaction is, what reactions occur after receiving a vaccine, and how an allergic attack is treated. "It's impossible to remove the allergen" - that's just ?. You also can't get tetanus at home unless you poke yourself in the forehead with a rusty nail that has been lying in the dirt, and even that's not certain. Better yet, find a good doctor and consult about your individual reactions.

I wouldn't vaccinate since the child is so allergic. You can do it later. Maybe he/she will outgrow it.

I simply process everything; Kolya usually treats most people with severe injuries in the emergency room for tetanus.
