Hello! Our child is 1 year and 10 months old. For the past three days, they have not wanted to go to bed at night. Usually, there are 5-6 hours between naps, then sleep. We've never had sleep problems before, but now here we are. Even though the daytime nap lasts from 1 to 2.5 hours, we are usually awake for 5-6 hours and then it's bedtime. But now, they don't want to go to sleep, even though it's usually bedtime for everyone. They walk around yawning, sit yawning, and zone out. Just now, they didn't want to sleep, kept yawning and walking around, then seemed to want to eat at 23:10. I warmed up some food and saw them zoning out, eyes closing, but they wouldn't go to bed. I put some soup in front of them and a tantrum started, they began to cry and sat there with their eyes closed. Every time I tried to get up, another tantrum began, and this went on for about 10 minutes. I finally managed to get them to the bed and put them to sleep. Could this be some kind of developmental leap or crisis? We've never had any problems with bedtime before. ?

Hello! I understand that this may be very difficult for you. Perhaps your little one is experiencing some temporary stress or changes in their life, which is interfering with their ability to fall asleep. Try to create a calm and cozy atmosphere before bedtime, make sure they are not overexerted before sleep, and try to establish a bedtime ritual that will help them relax. If the problem persists, consult a doctor for advice. I hope your little one will soon be sleeping well again!

Try reducing sleep by 1-1.5 hours. Before bedtime, we play in the bath for almost an hour. Then it's mealtime and sleep doesn't come immediately, it can take about half an hour more. Sometimes when I start to rock him, he gets upset and cries, but I don't let go and continue rocking; these outbursts can last about 2 minutes and then he calms down and falls asleep within about five minutes. Often, my husband puts him to bed and with him, he very rarely gets upset.
