Girls, help! What could it be? We're almost at 9 months and my child has started running in his sleep. It happens a few minutes after he falls asleep. He lies on his back, and then suddenly starts kicking his legs as if he's running. Then everything goes back to normal. It scares me a lot, it looks like convulsions, but we saw a neurologist very recently and everything was fine. But now, for the past 3 days, every time he falls asleep this happens.

It might just be a physiological phenomenon related to the development of the child's muscles and nervous system. However, if you are concerned, it is better to consult a pediatrician or neurologist. It may make sense to conduct additional examinations to rule out potential issues. There is no need to worry in advance, but it is best to consult a specialist for a professional opinion.

Maybe the overexcitement from playing games before bedtime is affecting him. Or during the day, you play tag and express strong emotions while doing so. It could be other strong emotions too, not necessarily from playing tag, but the child perceives it that way. His nervous system is still very weak; he might be able to handle everything, but it could be detrimental to him.
