At around 21 weeks, bubble-like pokes low in the belly, even close to the vagina, are very often early baby movements or little kicks toward the cervix or bladder. The uterus is still not very high, so sensations can feel surprisingly low. Sharp pulling on the lower sides can also be round ligament pain as everything stretches. If it becomes strong, regular cramping, comes with bleeding, leaking fluid, fever, or pain that keeps getting worse, call your OB or labor and delivery right away; for severe symptoms, use 911.
