Thrombopol is prescribed quite often in the second trimester — it’s acetylsalicylic acid in a low dose, a drug to reduce platelet “clumping.” In pregnancy it’s usually used not “just in case,” but for risks of preeclampsia, coagulation problems, or certain diagnoses from past pregnancies or tests. You shouldn’t start or stop it on your own: it’s better to check with your doctor what the exact reason for the prescription is and until which week to take it. If while taking it you develop bloody discharge, severe abdominal pain, or signs of an allergic reaction, you should seek urgent care; in Russia you can call 103 or 112.
