~20 internal and 5 external, the baby was big for me, I listened to the doctors, breathed and pushed like I was supposed to.. the head just wouldn't fit, at first they cut, then it tore, but I'll say you don't feel anything — everything hurts so much during contractions.. that even when they cut you it felt like someone just ran a finger over me ??♀️. They stitched me up the same, just a slight tingling, I gave birth with no anesthesia at all. I understand how scary it is for those doing it for the first time, I was shaking and very worried myself, it's all individual.. skin elasticity, baby size, etc... the main thing is that the baby is healthy. I was worried, by the way, that my vagina would become really wide afterwards) but they sewed me up so well) that it's like the first time ?

Yeah yeah exactly — after the contractions you don't feel anything; when they cut and cut ? when they sew you up, nothing at all, like you were under anesthesia ?
First time I gave birth, they did an episiotomy because of a big head, it hurt, but I delivered after three pushes. They stitched me up when I couldn't feel anything, and it all healed quickly. The second time they didn't cut, but the labia minora just tore off; they were sewn back on later, healed quickly too, but it was very unpleasant afterward... big scars. I gave birth without anesthesia. I don't know how it will be the third time )
I listened to the doctor — there were a few small tears. The only thing that bothered me was that I couldn't sit, but I sat down a little. Overall there's nothing so terrible about it to torture yourself.
Valeria, it seems to me you're thinking about childbirth and everything that goes with it so early??!! ? you're worrying in advance. Don't think about it — the first time everything will be new anyway and it's different for everyone, because everyone's body is different and so is their pain threshold. Wishing you an easy pregnancy ?
I read that in the last couple months of pregnancy it's better to eat fish and avoid meat, also do yoga sequences carefully — there's an app Mamageria for pregnant women for yoga. There are lots of tips to stay calmer and have a mindset without fear so it's easier to relax and stretch. But basically it's also hereditary, like stretch marks — some have them, some don't. In my first birth my daughter tore everything from the womb to the opening and I even asked them to make an incision so she wouldn't suffocate, and that's not the same as a C-section (I had gynecological surgery — I know what I'm talking about). It heals very quickly, and afterwards it's different than when everything just stretches.
I didn't tear; I breathed properly and pushed by "blowing out" — the main thing is to listen to the doctors and not scream! But if the baby is big, maybe nothing will save you and they'll perform an episiotomy (a cut), but it's better than tears.
Nothing will help
Of course, listen to the doctors about when to breathe and when to push, but if your baby is going to be big, you do understand perfectly well that you can't smear oil there so it'll slip out ??♀️
Everyone wants no tears and for nothing to hurt at all, but what can you do
My baby was coming arm-first. They had me suffering for 25 minutes in the delivery chair, and then they said that if they didn't do an episiotomy I'd tear. So situations can vary. Even if they do it to you, don't worry. It's still better than tearing.
Don't psych yourselves out — listen to the doctors during labor! There's no happiness without some losses; it will hurt a bit, about three days, and then it'll pass. Think more about the baby — he's working during labor no less than you are, it's hard for him. With my first, I pushed incorrectly; they had to force him out, otherwise hypoxia. So in the second birth I didn't worry about myself, only that I'd deliver a healthy baby. He's already 10 days old; they had to stitch him up a little too ? Wishing everyone an easy pregnancy and delivery.
My sister has two children; she advised agreeing right away if they offer an episiotomy so you won't tear. She says it's not painful and makes childbirth easier.
